The property, named Villa Rovelli, is located in the municipality of Verbania (VB). The building, configured as a single building body free on the four fronts, consists of three above-ground floors and an attic floor. The first three floors house one apartment each, while the attic floor contains two apartments.

The existing plaster has been peeled off and restored over the entire surface of the elevations. The same has been then painted with light yellow coloring identical to that of the existing state, while the stone friezes have been cleaned by low-pressure sandblasting.

New roofing was made by removing the old roofing membrane in order to insert a layer of insulation material. The covering was restored using the previously removed tiles.

In order to improve the thermal behavior of the building, the floor layers of the two rooms facing the lake have been modified by inserting an insulating layer. In order to further improve this behavior and, in addition, healthy air conditions, an aerated crawl space has been built.

The stratigraphy of the floor of the pocket terraces was also modified, with the integration of an insulation layer. The floor was repositioned in place with the same existing finish.

Insulation of the building’s baseboard was carried out, respecting its current outline.
