39 national pavilions of Expo 2020 Dubai curated by the Italian team formed by Mosae s.r.l., matteogatto & associates, Mancini Worldwide and Beyond the Limits

30 countries assisted by Expo 2020, distributed in the three petals of the thematic districts + 9 CYP (country young program) pavillions are the sum of the commitment of the team, all Italian, made up of matteogatto & associates, Mosae, mancini Worldwide and Beyond the Limits for Expo Dubai 2020.

Italian know-how and design made available to Expo 2020 and the participating countries.

A goal achieved thanks to the great experience gained in the construction: from design to construction, of the Universal Exposition in Milan that continues over time and looks to the future.

matteogatto & associates (former co-designer of the Italian pavilion) took care of the creation and design of the exhibition contents in collaboration with Blossom srl which created the graphic design. Beyond the Limits Ltd company based in Dubai took care of the order and the relations with the customer, Mancini Worldwide entertained all the precious diplomatic and international reactions with the countries involved and finally Mosae s.r.l. he engineered the installation and carried out the overall project management up to the implementation of the 39 exhibitions.

30 thematic district pavilions

The thematic districts are an integral part of the Expo 2020 Dubai site and comprise 86 permanent buildings spread over three separate “petals”, housing 136 participating countries. Each of the three petals has been given a unique and memorable character, depicted through a different geometry, landscape and colors to reflect the three main themes of Expo 2020 Dubai: Mobility, Opportunity and Sustainability.

Designed by Hopkins and Partners, the neighborhoods are meant to evoke old Dubai, and feature facades reminiscent of traditional Emirati wind towers, as well as walkways that are lined with indigenous flora.

The team was called by the Expo Dubai 2020 company to assist 30 assisted countries in the creation of the exhibition contents and their design:

Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bhutan, Commonwealth of Dominica, Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Federal Republic of Somalia, Georgia, Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Kingdom of Eswatini, Lao PDR, Principality of Andorra, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Benin, Republic of Botswana, Republic of Chad, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of Guatemala, Republic of Madagascar, Republic of Nicaragua, Republic of Palau, Republic of Panama, Republic of Sierra Leone, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Republic of Zambia, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, São Tomè and Prìncipe, Solomon Islands, State of Eritrea

30 different exhibitions developed from the blank sheet in close collaboration with the countries: from the search for the excellence of the participants to their relationship with the theme “connecting minds, creating the future”, from the development of specific contents for each one to the exhibition storytelling, from the visitor experience to the visual identity of each country created ad hoc, up to the printing and installation of the contents.

30 visual and interactive stories available to the Expo public starting from 1 October 2021.
